Try:
1) Unplug the printer from the wall for 24 hours sometimes the EPPROMS
get scrambled and need to be reset.
2) remove the cartridges, clean both the cartridge chip pads with a
cotton swab with a bit of alcohol and also the small gold wires which it
comes in contact with in the head carriage. Be careful not to snag or
bend those gold wires. They are brittle and can snap off.
3) Make sure the cartridges are all well installed, that they click into
position and all look properly positioned
4) Occasionally a bad chip will occur, or you may have bought a
counterfeit. People who refill find the chips do not last forever and
can only be reset a certain number of times.
5) Occasionally, Epson will change the firmware and older cartridge will
not work and require exchange or replacement.
