Does anyone have the actual adjustment program they can send me? I've
been seeking this for about a month with no luck. I need it to reset
the waste ink protection counter which the SSC service utility doesn't
currently support. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry
I don't know where you can get this unless someplace like manuals4you.com have
it.
There is a generic reset procedure for similar printers

press the small button with the triangle and the colour button together hold
down, switch off then switch back on keeping the buttons pressed.
When screen stops flashing let go of all buttons, press colour button,
then press off and hold until it switches back on

Try this and let us know if it works.

Hi Tony,

You were very helpful to me previously with my other all-in-one, the
CX3200, via email. However, I believe that Epson has changed this
manual procedure.

The CX4800 (as well as the CX4200 and equivalent non-US models) have
just a single digit green LED instead of an LCD screen, plus numerous
LEDs used as indicators for paper type, paper size, ink indicators, and
more. I'm sure it's a design issue to lower production costs. But
anyway, I do have the service manual for this machine which indicates
the adjustment program is required to reset the waste ink protection
counter. I've found one person who has it but wants payment for it in
e-gold. That would be fine if I had an account, but I don't feel like
depositing the minimum required by e-gold of $1000 into an account just
to get an adjustment program for my printer for $7, not to mention the
possibility of being scammed.

I've checked manuals4you/justmanuals, as well as a few other sites
offering service manuals and adjustment programs, and so far none of
them have the program either. I've also posted on a couple of other
forums with the only response being the guy wanting payment in e-gold.

Thanks again for your help, although I do still need the program should
anyone happen to have it.

Pity, I have not seen this printer but thought it was worth a shot.
If I come across anything I will let you know.
