I have had this printer installed & running pretty well until recently.
Because the black cartridge was out & the color nozzles would not clear I
tried an older Epson Color 200, ink out no joy.
Back to original with the intention of attempting to clean the nozzles.
Can't do anything.
Tried to System Restore with no result.
Hunted for driver update but can't find anyway whatever I was using earlier
should still work.
Even tried to reinstall from original Installation CD with msg this SW is
not suitable forWin XP.

This is extremely frustrating I have work to do.

Can anyone help with procedure or link to suitable website.

TIA
Pete

Sounds like you have 2 problems here.

First - you have to manually clean the nozzles yourself even if the software
came with a "Cleaning" feature. I recommend you clean the ink cartridge head
with an alcohol wipe as it
might be gummed up. If the wipe keeps getting black(er) as you wipe may be
another indicator you have enough ink - but if, as you wipe, no more black
ink is dispensed on the wipe - you may be out of ink or have a bad
cartridge.

Second problem sounds like you have the wrong driver. Get the lasted printer
driver from the Epson site - don't use what came on the CD - and make sure
you're getting an XP driver.

good luck!
