Happy New Year to All!
I tried the refill kit couple months ago to fill the color cartridge and it
worked for a while but not like a new cartridge. After the printer low
link went steady I relplaced the cartridge with Epson OEM. Now I have no
magenta. I have flushed the jets as best as I could but no success. Is
there a technique to flushing the ink jets? Has anyone successfully
removed the jet head and cleaned it?

It is usually accepted that any removal of an Epson printhead is fraught
with danger and often disaster. Far better to fill the old cartridge with
Windolene (USA Windex) a light ammonia mix and then print a few windy pages
to allow the cleaning to be from within. This generally removes blockages or
microbubbles safely...

I had a 600 for many years---It was a true workhorse, albeit somewhat noisy.
There were occassional clogs, all of which cleared. The next time it
clogged, my desire for a true photo printer prevailed, and the 600 went on
the shelf ------and then to my son.

Months later, I asked my son and found that the 600 was still going strong!!

This aside, I would not invest significant energy in reviving the 600. For
less than $100 you can get a significantly better printer.
