My printer is directly connected to my Win2K box and prints perfectly.
It also prints perfectly from the Linux box. However, I have to XP
machines that consistently show "access denied" in the printer status.
One of the XP machines runs Zone Alarm, but the other does not - so it's
not the firewall software. All machines are linked by a Belkin router (1
XP is wired, the other XP is wireless). I'm at my wits end trying to get
these XP boxes to play nicely with the Win2K printer....Please help.

Thanks.

John

I dont have Win XP but doesn't XP also have its own "firewall" software?
And are the "accounts" on the XP boxes also on the Win2000 box?

Bob,

1 account is, and one isn't - both can file share with no problems. I
didn't give that much of a thought, but it was a good point,
nonetheless. Thanks.
