I bought this printer just a few days ago and I think there might be
some problems with it. I don't know.

The Ink Monitor icon is loaded during the boot process, but then
dissapears a few seconds later. Is it a problem?

Whenever I decide to print a document or anything I get an error
saying the printer is turned off. Shouldn't the printer turn it self
on when I click PRINT?

That's how my old printer used to work.

When I turn the computer on shouldn't the printer be turned on too? My
old printer worked that way.

It sucks that I have to press the On button on the printer every time
I decide to use it.

Is is a problem or is it just the way the printer works?

Tkx in advance.

Epsons don't work like your old printer. The printer has to be turned on
before it will print.

You might want to reinstall the status monitor again.

Was your old printer an inkjet, or a laser printer?

Inkjet printers do not normally have a sleep mode. They need to be
turned off when not in use, and one when you plan on using it. They
need to cap the head when sitting without use, so the ink doesn't dry
up, and some don't fully do this unless they are turned off.

In fact, it is suggested you not operate inkjet printers via a power bar
or other circuit that has a universal on and off switch, because the
printer may not cap properly if the power is cut before it has finished
its parking process.

It's better to leave an Epson inkjet turned on all the time.
I won't re-explain why as it has been explained many times here before (google
is your friend).
