Hello All.
Anyone able to tell me if the RX510 can have an external waste bottle fitted
in the same way as some other Epsons. If so any details on how to go about
it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks In Anticipation
Bill

In general, I see no reason why not. I would suggest try getting hold
of the service manual. Usually, the easiest source is on E-bay.

These help articles may be of use particularly the CX6600 version..

I have no idea how the RX510 is built though so if you do decide to go
ahead can you take a lot of digital photos of each stage, what you can
see, etc... and I can use those to write up a guide specifically for
your version (at some point)..

Thank you both for your response,

As I had already reset the counter and from information I gathered apparently
the ink pad may be only 50% full I will leave well enough alone at the moment.

FYI Martin the printer has a "door" on the back of it held in place by a Philips
screw - and when removed you can see the ink tube coming from the head parking
area to a large area of felt which at the moment only seems damp.

To remove the tube and take it outside the printer looks "too easy" so I will wait
until - if and when - it starts to leak externally - then I'll tackle the thing seriously.

Once again thank you both for your response and help.

Wait? I'd so it before it leaks, preferable when the warranty passes.

Hi Bill,

Ah, thanks for that information... sounds like it's built like the R300
then in which case you want this link:
http://www.continuousink.info/forum/links.php?func=show&id=74

If you get a chance and have a digital camera to hand it would be very
helpful if you could take a few picturs of the trap door open and closed
as that'd help me get my guides up to date.

Email is: cis (aT.) snailsolutions (d0t) com

Also, I'm with Gary on the "don't wait" suggestion as the pads
overflowing will foul your printers insides (including the cleaning
pads, etc.. before you're aware of the problem. Sooner rather than later
is recommended.

Cheers

Martin
