Epson RX 630 multifunction

Hi all, well I got myself a multifunction Epson RX630 printer, scanner &
copier all in one. bought April 24th 2006. at least 3 times an error message
has popped up "Error Print Message, read documentation" reading
documentation and it says "turn off and on, if that doesn't fix problem then
contact Dealer."

It fixed what ever the problem was after a couple of turn ons and rebooting
computer.

This last error message appeared after a A4 piece of paper tangled up
inside, and I manually removed all bits and pieces of it. After several
turn on and off I cou'ld get rid of error message.

Rang Epson Tech desk and they advised to take the printer into Service
center Agent.

Question:
does any one know what I could have done to fix this problem myself in the
future any way.

How many sheets of paper do you insert into the automatic feeder?

If there's only one sheet inserted the feeder sometimes cannot feed
properly due to high friction between paper and separator. If you use
expensive photo paper and prefer not to insert more, than one sheet always
insert it with a additional sheet of plain paper.
