It appears this printer has no profile for Epson Semi Gloss, has any one a
work around to avoid the slight green cast in the final print. Is there a
profile for this machine for Epson semi gloss anywhere. PhotoQuicker 3.5 has
no semi gloss choice in the menu or have I missed something.

Hi.

I have not actually looked recently, but the Epson Australia website used to
be the best place for Profile downloads.

Thanks for your reply, I have checked that site and they do have profiles
but none for R300 and semi-gloss, seems Epson for whatever reason don't want
users to use Epson Semi-gloss paper as there is no provision for it in
Photo-Quicker. They did the same with the 2100 when they suggested it was
unsuitable for gloss paper, OK I know the 2100 uses pigment ink and gloss
showed Bronzing to a higher degree, but I am at a loss to understand why it
has taken Epson Semi-Gloss out of the R300 menu when using PhotoQuicker.

Hi.

I have not been much help then, but I don't use Semi Gloss, so you might
let me off.

It could just be that perhaps it is not suitable for your printer, for some
reason epson know but are not telling. Does it show in the Media type drop
down?

How about trying some of the other Paper Makers sites to see if they list a
Profile for your R300 and their own Semi Gloss. It would mean changing to
their paper rather than the Epson. Have a look at Tetenal, Olmec (ICI & 7
Day shop), Permajet. This last one has a good range of very nice papers,
which I mean to try someday soon.
