I purchased an R300 about a month ago and it seems to me that most
photos (particularly those taken outdoors) have too much Cyan in them.
I cut the Cyan cartidge output back and it helps somewhat, but the
photo is still far from "perfect." Can you tell me if this is a
problem with this printer model in general or should I exchange mine
for another one?

I would appreciate a personal response in addition to your web
response, as I will receive it faster.

Thanx for any help you can give me.

I've never come accross a problem with the R200/300's printing too much
Cyan/Light Cyan both in the workshop and my personally owned R300.
It may be a differnece in cross manufacturer cartridges if your using non
original
ink.
If you're using originals then try printing from a different application,
does the problem
still exist ?
If it's not an ink issue or an application issue and if your in mainland
England you can
drop it in to an Epson Express Centre to get them to have a look at it.
Take your proof of purchase and they'll do it for free and give you a
replacement printer
if they find a fault with yours.

Mine has an excess of magenta which I adjust in the software. When printing
direct from the printer rather than the PC I find it essential to choose the
right paper

Just to let you know, I solved the problem withe the Epson R300...I
returned it to Staples and bought the HP 7760. There is no comparison
between the two printers for 20 bucks more. The HP's colors are
outstanding and totally "true" to the original. I have made several 4
x 6 prints and a couple of 8 1/2 x 10s. They are sharp and the colors
are accurate.

Thanks all for your help,

Dan

It can't be worse than the Epson. The Epson holds six of them...and
each costs about $14..The HP holds 2 (I don't have the B&W as I use my
laser for that) and, I believe that they cost about $25.
