Epson R300

I believe I posted a problem with this printer before but I have been
corresponding with Epson by phone and email about the same problem. Every
time I switch on the printer or the computer, it re-installs itself (USB2)
so I get multiple copies, only one of which works. Epson have been very
helpful but have been unable to solve the problem. They figured it was a
Windows XP problem and gave me Microsoft's phone number. Microsoft refused
to help without lining Bill Gates pockets even more!!

Has anyone come across this problem and might be able to help please?

Hi CWT,
We have come accross this problem quite a few times from
customers bringing their PC's and printers into our workshop.
Epson we're right in stating that the problem lies with the operating
system.
As a general rule, re-installing the USB drivers for your mainboard
or USB card do the trick. Sometime the full driver set for the mainboard
is needed to re-install USB drivers.

Thanks for the info - installing the lastest VIA 4in1 drivers appears to
have cured the problem
