I have a r200 that I put a waste bottle on to collect the waste ink.
and it works just fine.My question is I bought a r260 and would like to
do the same to it.But there is no trap door on the back.Has anyone in
this newsgroup done this to a r260.If so how do you do it.

InkRepublic has all the information online. if you google it, you will
find InkRepublic's link and knowledge base.

It's an excellent step by step tutorial and also for Epson R380,
RX580, R260, and R265.

The information that inkrepublic gives on the epson r260 is all wrong
They say to take the tube loose from the pump and run it though a hole
in the bottom of the printer. That hole is not a open hole so you can not
do that.If you do as they say you will get ink all over the inside of
your printer.

I did the modification as Ink Republic's suggestion. I did it
slightly different cause I did not see how drain hose could be fed out
the way shown and
drilled a hole in the frame and cover. I used the tubing and bottle
from Ink Republic's CIS.
Really so simple to do and side cover is easy to get off either by a
sharp slap to the side or
easy prying by a standard screwdriver that will fit in the crack.
Drilled the side cover & frame together after resnapping cover back on
after figuring
where exit hole from the printer location should be & then removing
cover to snake tubing out
and Epsons tube was long enough to exit the machine without causing
any bends that
would restrict ink flow.
