The picturemate uses the same ink cartridge for collecting the waste ink. If
you see the ink cartridge it has seven outlets, the 6 for the color inks and
the last one for collecting the ink.

The Picturemate uses a somewhat ingenious system of pumping the waste
ink into a special chamber in the ink cartridge. So when you remove the
old ink cartridge, the waste ink goes with it.
