I recently bought this printer and prints direct from my CF card are
excellent. I connected it via USB to my XP computer and the first prints I
made from Photoshop CS were brilliant but the next time I switched on and
tried to print, the prints were dark & muddy. I tried a different imaging
program and the first results were fine but again subsequent print sessions
produced the muddy prints. I tried Epson on-line help but their only
suggestion was to remove and reload Photoshop. Again worked first time but
not subsequently. Has any one come across this problem. It may be linked to
the fact that every time I boot up, I get a new hardware message and another
copy of the printer appears in control panel.

Thanks for any help forthcoming.

Remove ALL iterations of the printer driver from your system (after
disconnecting the printer cable from the printer)

Then install the printer driver and wait for the screen to tell you to
connect the printer.

Somewhere along the line, you connected the printer to the computer
without the driver installed.

I am thinking of buying this printer also. Have you now solved this problem?
what are the print speeds, quality & ease of use like? You say you have it
connected via USB. Have you tried the bluetooth connection yet?
TIA

Speed is great, quality (IMHO) is great, its very easy to use in stand
alone or with a computer. Don't know about the Blue Tooth yet waiting to
see if anyone has trouble before I get one.

Thanks for the tip but that didn't cure the problem either. I have asked
Epson three times but received no reply. I think it must be a more obscure
problem.

likewise, but it's finding that someone who has one and using bluetooth. i
suppose i could take my BT dongle to a shop and ask for a demo using my
phone?

I guess I will have to get one to see how they do... I'll let everyone know
how it works.... From the specs that I can find it seems like it will be a
little slow
