Hi,

i want to print a panoramic-picture (Size 32.9cm x 171cm).
The max. pagelength i can set (MacOS 9) is about 111cm.
I tried all combinations of options (save Roll-paper, no margins...) trying
to prevent the printer to leave a space of 3mm between the end of the first
and the beginning of the next page.

Does anyone know how to print a really large picture (length >111cm) in ONE
step?
Do I have to get the "Stylus Rip"-Software from EPSON or is there an easier
way?
Is printing quality with "Stylus Rip" really lower (as mentioned in the
EPSON-faq) than with the original printer software?
Is borderless printing possible with "Stylus Rip"?

thanks
Franz

This page says the max length is Operating System dependent...

Do they mention the bugs in the driver than cause it to crash on
W2K should a cartridge run out while printing a larger than 19"
(483mm) page wasting all the ink and paper up to that point?

I've printed panaromics over 90" successfully, but only when I
start with all cartridges new or nearly new :-(

I would not recommend this printer if panaromics are your main
thing unless the driver is fixed or you can verify the bug
doesn't affect your OS. I had no problems changing a cartridge
mid-print on a 13x19 page so I wasn't expecting trouble with roll
paper.

Wow that's a really strange bug. I might get to test it on WinXP pro next
week as I do have some panorams to print and my ink is getting low. Just
waiting for the paper.

Yup its strange, but after proving it repeatable, I gave up on panaromics despite the very nice results
I got before one color ran out. Ink usage tends to be pretty
uneven with my images with light magenta and light cyan running
out the fastest, so short of throwing out all 7 carts and
starting fresh I'd be wasting time, paper and ink to try more
panaromics :-(

Let us know how it goes on XP. I've XP on my notebook, it it
works with XP I can move the printer to XP and print from there.
