Has anyone got experience with this scanner as to the films
and dias? When scanning dias with the cover I get not good
results - too dark and blue. Now I don't want to have them
corrected after scanning with Photoshop, I just want to have
acceptable results by once with Epson Smart Panel. I already
did calibration of my monitor and noticed some improvement,
perhaps now it is the turn of the scanner to be calibrated?
Is there some utility program to insure that the scanner is
working at its best? Any ideas?
thanx in advance

I don't have that scanner, but you probably need to take it out of auto
mode.
Maybe try VueScan with it, too.

Try the scanner program Vuescan as a replacement for the provided
software. You can download a copy from http://hamrick.com
You can try for free, but it puts watermarks on the scan until you
pay.
There are some tips on my web site on improving scans.
