I've an old Epson LQ800 printer here that suits me fine,
but it does something I don't want. Each time it starts
printing a file, it first does a formfeed. I've dl'd a
manual for the machine and the printer language is
nicely documented; I've reviewed what the sixteen
little dip switches on the printer's back do; and
*nowhere* do I find anything about that extra form
feed.

The printer function that I need, is to begin at the top
of the page already in it; do its thing, and stop. Thus
if I have another file to print I can start at the bottom
of the preceding one.

Help! How can I kill my LQ800's extra automatic
formfeed? ??

Thanks -- Martha Adams

Are you sure that formfeed isn't actually in the file?
