Any clues as to who make the various Epson Inks?
Japanese or USA?
I read that Lyson may be the suppliers of some of the formulations ???

It does not make any difference what factory the ink rolls out of. It
is Epson's ink since they formulate the ink and engineer the printer to
produce the best for that particular combination. They control it and
the entire process. It makes little difference who pays the employees
or what health insurance the are provided. Epson QA controls the
quality. The same is for Canon and HP.

Yeah it's called "contract manufacturing".
You may want to write that down so you don't forget it, ok?

Epson inks have all sorts of origins: Mexico, China, Japan, USA, and
others. I would be surprised they own the factories in all those
places, so they probably use a number of 3rd parties for their product
lines. I suspect though, that they try to keep a pretty tight rein on
quality control and consistency.
