Hi All,
I am baffled by the lack of support of this scanner. I have tried to
install it under XP (SP2) with no luck whatsoever. I have a SCSI version
of the model so knowing this and having read a few posts I installed the
ASPI drivers and the WIn2K twain drivers. Unfortunately this didn't
change a thing. I still can't use the scanner. Upart from chucking the
thing into the bin, any suggestions?
Tks

If you havn't done so yet, email Epson tech support from their web
site. I emailed them recently about scanning problem with OS X, and
they returned a really helpful document.

Regards,
Larry

Why would you be surprised? This scanner is several years old. (1998)

Go to Epson UK:
http://esupport.epson-europe.com/Pr...C2DB7EC3D0149D35A29116D1DA4D67BE15CFEEED88EB6

The above link should work.
If it does not:
http://www.epson.co.uk
Click Support.
Product type=Scanner
Product=GT-7000
OS= Windows 2000

There is not Windows XP software for this scanner, but some people have had
good luck getting the Windows 2000 software to work in XP.

Windows XP is just a later version of Windows 2000.

There is a lot of other information at this location, you should read it.

Under Tutorials and tips.
Pay attention to:
What can I do if I cancel the scanner software installation before it was
complete, or connected the scanner before installing the software (Windows
users) and now the scanner won't work?

Thanks for your replies. I will try both. Hopefully I will be able to
get the damn thing to work, even if it's ancient.
Thanks again for your help
