i am having problems getting what i see on my monitor to
print out on my printer.is this a driver problem or same
thing else.thank you for your time.

Erm....... the question is very unclear.... Am I to assume you have Adobe
PHOTOSHOP v7.0 and when you actually print something, it looks different on
the printer than the monitor?

OK, if that is the case, I offer the following:

What you see on the monitor is totally unique. Your eyes and your brain
interpret the information you see in and my eyes and my brain will see
something completely different as far as color is concerned. The image you
see on the screen CAN NEVER be exactly what you get on a printer, no matter
how good. We can only approximate. The better the printer and the higher
quality the montitor, the more the images will 'match'.

You do not say which monitor you have, but if it is older than about a year,
the color guns have already suffered some damage due to general wear and
tear. The printer you specify is not a current model, and as far as Epson
is concerned, is not classified as a photo printer. I have no idea when you
purchased it but the original brochure, available as a PDF file at the Epson
website specifies it is excellent for Windows 3.1, 95, 98 and NT which would
put it at least 7 years old.

It's NOT a driver problem, it's a problem with old technology. If you want
better imaging, get a newer photo printer... and possibly an updated monitor
as well.
