I re-ink and sometimes I have to remove the chip. Now I find I must mixed
some colour and black chips. They look identical. Does anybody know if the
printer would know the diference if a black chip and colour were reversed.
Don't want to experiment yet!!
Thanks, Mac

No problems refilling so far?

Yes, there's a specific chip for a specific color.

I dont know about other Epson Cartridges, but the chips on the T008/T007
carts (Epson Photo 785 EPX and LOTS of others) are isentical chips, but
some of them WONT reset, and need to be replaced when the cart is re-
filled.

When I buy new chips (about $2.00 (US)) from my supplier, they just put
'em in a little static proof package, there is no designation
color/black.

Thank's Charlie
Will have to be more carefull. Perhaps there is an ID will look for it
Thanks again Mac

The printer knows the difference between black and color chips but printer
still works. I have seen a epson printer (1280/1290) having two "blacks",
the ink monitor still works too.
