Art, your right. I just paid $4.50 for one. If you have an Epson 2000 or
2200, when your printer says your cartridge is empty just reset it and you
can get many more pictures. I took several of these cartridges apart after
customers threw them away because they were supposedly empty and there was a
lot of ink left. After you reset an empty cartridge you have to keep your
eye on the pictures you are running because you don't get any warning when
it finally does run out. Pete

Some people I know recently send me a few dozen 2100/2200 Ultrabrite ink
cartridges which were empty. I am using the ink to run some test on so
I can advise people about unclogs with those printers, should they begin
to occur. In general, each cartridge had between 4-5 ml of ink left in
them. I don't know what they have new, but this seems like about 20% of
the ink volume. I suspect that if one could collect this ink and place
it all in one cartridge (for each five) you could reset and use a full
cartridge without the risk of air locks and dry outs due to running out
of ink. I am working on this now, but you are correct that the "empty"
cartridge when the printer shuts it down, normally, is about 20% wasted
ink within the cartridge, so a resetter makes goo d sense.
