This specific model shows a warning message for non-genuine cartridges
*EVERY* time it prints.
Someone could disable this by disabling the status monitor. But this way you
loose the progress/ink indicator.
Have anyone found any method to dissable the warning message but not the
ink/progress monitor?

my c88 only did it when I printed the first time.
But ii would not recoginize the replacement cart at first.
I called the cart seller and was told to unplug the printer for 5 min. when
it gave the message not recognized..
It worked fine after that..I wish epson would go back in the printer
business instead of the ink business.
I will buy their printer but not the ink that 3 times as high as everyone
elses.
For my use durabrite is no better than Printpal.com

Not really but you could go with the sideways approach and get the SSC
utility then install and use that to monitor your ink levels.. It
supports the C88 and D88 just fine in that respect.
