I'm having a problem with the vertical alignment of the printhead output on
a C84 printer. Horizontal lines are true but the vertical lines are somewhat
wavy. I've gone through the alignment utility procedure several times with
little or no change. Head cleanings have no effect on the outcome at all.
Anyone have any ideas to how to adjust to get those vertical lines straight
again or is the head failing or is a special alignment program from Epson
warranted?
Thanks,

I've run into this problem once before, and it is almost like the print
head is producing a scalloped crescent rather than a straight line,
creating a wavy vertical line, and the text was weird like that as well.

The head failed while I was working with it, but I think it may a
mixture of a series of clogs and possible a partial delamination of the
head.

Best of luck, Jan.

Thanks Art. I was having the feeling that there would be little cure for the
problem. The printer is still usable if one is only looking for text output
but I'm afraid it's a goner otherwise. Another landfill candidate in the
making.
