The color cartridge is out of ink. I dont really care at this time. I have a
new black cartridge in there. Yet I still cannot print anything, even when the
text is black only.
I have gone into the properties and clicked on black only.
When I try to print all I get is all the miserable Epson boxes telling me I
am out of color, and how do I want to order etc.
I did have it printing in black only for a while, now it will not. I always
get the ink status box telling me I am out of color. And there is no way to get
rid of that box other then ctrl-alt-del and end task. It still will not print
in black only.
Any ideas, other then buying a color cartridge.
Thank You

I had it working for quite a while with the color cartridge empty. Just going
to the options and clicking on black ink and the text was all black. Now it
wont. I get the ink monitor box.
I dont know what changed or what.
I do think it pathetic when a printer like this epson wont let you print
black only and force feeds you to buy the color cartridge.
My Lexmark certainly doesnt do this, I dont know about others.
Thank you
