Epson C44 locks up XP

Hi,

Just bought a C44. Seemed to install OK but on trying to print my
whole system locks up. Checked the drivers, ran windows update all to
no avail.

Nothing on the Epson website.

Anyone come across this before and fixed it?

C44 - a model number which strikes terror in me and my family....!

Well, I don't have a proper solution to your problem Stuart because my
solution was to return the infernal contraption. :-(

Sometimes it wasn't recognised by XP, when it was it never really worked
correctly, and a replacement model had the same problems.
Even on the odd time it did it's job 'properly', the printouts were well
below standard. I have a very new PC and consider myself fairly tech savvy
but couldn't be bothered trying to work that thing out. (Sorry, this isn't
the sort of response you probably wanted really was it...)

Well, I hope those probs were just related to mine and you have success with
it!
