epson c43

I have installed my new epson c43 on windows me with usb connectivity.
However the properties of the printer show that its connected to LPT1 and
thus it will not print. Do I need to download something or what? I have
tried reinstalling, but there is no option to choose the usb port. The pc
has 2 usb ports.

Head to Start>Settings>Printers (Idon't have ME or an Epson, so I hope
these work!) When you open your printer window, select your Epson with
a right click and select properties. You should find all the settings
you need to set for your printer here. There should be a tab that says
something like 'details' or 'settings' or some such. In it you should
be able to select USB as the port that you want this printer to print
to and make it your default.

If you need more info, I suggest that you head over to
alt.comp.periphs.printer(s) and get more help.

Wessie, this group is supposed to be for the discussion of freeware
only. It's not a help group, like say this one:
