I am considering the Epson C4100 color laser, but it's really hard to
find any reviews on the net.
Anyone in here with some good advice?
Can't tell you a lot (or anything about it) I used to have a QMS machine
that shared the same print engine with an Epson Acculaser, quite a
decent machine, although it required more intervention than I was
expecting to replace fuser rollers, drum kits lens covers as well as the
toner. Newer models may have less things in that way.
I replaced it with a solid ink Xerox which produces very nice output,
adding toner (solid wax ink blocks) is a doddle and the only other thing
is a 'maintenance' kit every 40,000 pages or 18 months or so. If you
aren't using it that much they offer a lower capacity maintenance kit of
10,000, if that's enough to get you through a year. Other people here
like OKI's machines, and I quite like the look of the Kyocera machines
which cost more but have lower running costs, and from the samples I've
seen produce quite nice output.
