Hi!

I am considering the Epson C4100 color laser, but it's really hard to
find any reviews on the net.

Anyone in here with some good advice?

Thanks!

In most cases the best place for printer reviews of any kind is
www.pcmag.com or www.pcworld.com. Cnet does have some professional
reviews and a host of user reviews. User reviews are only valid to find
out a consensus of certain problems. There are a lot of idiots posting
reviews that do not know what they are talking about.

Well, none of those 3 sites has got as much as a single word about his
printer...

Can't tell you a lot (or anything about it) I used to have a QMS machine
that shared the same print engine with an Epson Acculaser, quite a
decent machine, although it required more intervention than I was
expecting to replace fuser rollers, drum kits lens covers as well as the
toner. Newer models may have less things in that way.

I replaced it with a solid ink Xerox which produces very nice output,
adding toner (solid wax ink blocks) is a doddle and the only other thing
is a 'maintenance' kit every 40,000 pages or 18 months or so. If you
aren't using it that much they offer a lower capacity maintenance kit of
10,000, if that's enough to get you through a year. Other people here
like OKI's machines, and I quite like the look of the Kyocera machines
which cost more but have lower running costs, and from the samples I've
seen produce quite nice output.

Oops, my fault for not paying enough attention... I thought this was an
inkjet model being discussed, so, just ignore that posting regarding
this printer.
