epson 830 ink pad

I bought a used epson 830 printer,when it arrived it had a pad floating
loose inside a photo of which can be found here

The printer seems to be function ok at the moment but I would like to
refit this part (I geuss it's part of the inkhead claning station,but
I'm not sure how it is supposed to be attached and exactly where it's
supposed to fit

if any of you can offer me any ifo on this I'd be very garteful

If you insist on using spaces in your file names, you have to replace
them with %20 when you post the URL links:

Otherwise, use something like an underscore instead.
 
The pad you speak of isn't critical to the functionality of the printer.
It helps keep things a bit cleaner around the cleaning station, which
otherwise gets a bit of ink spatter and dripping, but nothing that
really harms the printer. It's a bit difficult to explain exactly the
positioning of this little piece of felt-like material.

Personally, I wouldn't concern myself with it.
