hi there,
I have problem printing black and white and according to the level
indicated on the computer, it is not empty yet but still I do not see
anything when trying to print. I think my color one works. I talked to
staples and they suggest the b&W cartridge might be dry out so I bought
the new one. The problem is the procedure for replacing ink cartridge
(when it is empty) and cleaning head procedure is the same. Everytime I
run that, they do not allow me to replace it. What should I do about it?

thanks

Anthony

You must press the "paperfeed button" for at least 3 sec.
This will advance the printer heads in the position for an exchange of
the cartridge.
You have to do the change at once , otherwise the carriage will after a
while go back to the rest position and when then the cover lock of the
cartridge holder is still open, you will get a problem.
You will hear it:-)

Are you holding down the paper feed button until you hear it start to move?
Not just tapping the button. After you install the new cartridge I would
run a nozzle check to see if they all are printing.
