Doing web searches on the Epson 4870 has started to show
dealers being listed in the US. Has anyone actually found
one that has it in stock yet?

No, same results here.

2 vendors, neither has in stock.

Ecost listing is for $449, Computers4Sure $440.95.

No listings on Cnet.

Yahoo shopping - Erwincomp.com lists for $429.95 but not in stock.
Digitally Unique $430.95, out of stock, can be back ordered.

It is available in Japan as: Epson GT-X700
