I bought a second-hand Epson Stylus Colour 480 printer, downloaded the
driver, bought new cartridges. When I print, it appears to be
printing, but the paper is blank.

(Also, the cartridges seem to get empty very quickly).

Any ideas?
TIA

Did you buy factory ink?

I have a cleaning manual which is free for the asking via email for
Epson printers.

It is quite possible your printer's head is clogged and needs a cleaning.

If you wish a copy, please email the address below and indicate the
printer model and the issue you are experiencing, and I will send you a
copy of the manual. It is about 80Kb, so please set your spam filter,
if you have one, to accept it.

Because Epson has the print-head built in the printer *not* the ink
cartridge like HP, so the idea is trying not to buy used Epson inkjet
printer *unless* you are very sure that it's clog-free.

The page is blank probably because the print nozzle clogged
