Epson 2580

Hi,

I am thinking of bying an Epson Perfection 2580 photo for
slide scanning and negative scanning for own use. Would this
be a good purchase?

I have an Epson 2480 - same model without film feeder. The quality of
film scans is ok **for a flatbed and for the price range**. Scans are
good enough for making prints up to 20x25 centimeters. Examined at full
size in a monitor is a bit sad, though, when compared to a film scanner
scan - i would say its real resolution is well under 1200dpi, the rest
is interpolation.
