I have just bought an Epson 1670 Perfection Scanner.
Documents, photos (both black and white), scan well, but I am unable to scan
colour negatives.
All I get is a solid black strip.
I have tried scanning in both Home and Professional mode and tried all sorts
of alterations to the colour and brightness but these have no effect.
Can anybody advise me please?
Thanks

I just got an Epson 1670 scanner as well and I was successful scanning
in negatives. It is really important to read the instructions, make
sure you get the negative strip into the holder the right way around
and the right side up and that then you put into the correct slot
either A or B depending on which way up. You also have to make sure
that you take out the white cover on the inside lid of the scanner is
off. Also you have to make sure that the cable on the back is
connected from the lid to the back of the scanner. Hope this helps,
Nigel, and good luck. Carol

Problem sorted!
Answer is to choose "Scan to Web/Screen" and not "Scan to Printer"
