Epson 1200 -- turn off or leave on?

Epson Stylus Photo 1200...

Is it best to turn off the power when the printer is not in use, or can it
be left turned on? I'm thinking in terms of how to use the least amount of
ink, and also in terms of how to prevent the ink jets from becoming clogged.

Leave it turned off by using the power button on printer. The longer you
leave it on waiting to print the longer the cleaning cycle will be when you
go to print. It also caps the heads when you turn it off.
