epp vs. jpg

I use Canon Printer software and has a nice red eye reduction feature with
it. It eliminates the redeye very easily but can't save the corrected image
because it is in a .epp file (epp=easy photo print).

Does anyone know of a work around for me. Canon tech folks say it can't be
done.

It's their own proprietory software and designed to save the file for Easy
Photo Print to print it, not to be further edited. The Canon techs are
correct.

However there are plenty of other photo editing applications you can buy
that will allow saving in jpg or the format of your choice.

tks Cari, wonder why they would do that in the first place? Oh well, guess
you got to look at fine print each and every time.

Another little 'surprise' in the program is that it will only print to the
Canon printer connected locally (ie direct to the PC), even if that printer
is not the default.

Example... I have 4 printers on my network, the default for all PCs is the
Lexmark Optra Laser printer ... but if I open Easy Photo Print, on my
desktop, it will always print to the i950 connected to that desktop (with no
intervention from me). It won't 'see' the i860 or the i560 connected to
other PCs. If I want to print a photo to one of those printers, I have to
go to the PC connected to it.

Another gem..... it can only use one single folder at once. I'm particuarly
fastidious about my files and folders... I know where every picture is.....
If I want to print one photo from one folder and then one from another, I
can't select both in one operation!

Oh well.... no application is ever perfect!
