Ephemeris is a program that lets you enter a date and a location and
then computes the time and azimuth (compass bearing) or sunrise,
sunset, moonrise and moonset. In addition, it displays a schematic
representation of the phase of the moon and its % illumination. It can
also generate a table listing the positions of the sun and moon in the
sky and the length of shadows cast by the sun at 15 minute intervals
for a given day. In Calendar mode, it can display the phases of the
moon for any given month. Finally there is Compass mode -- just point
your pocket PC at the sun or moon and it tells you which way is north.
For more information, see the readme.txt and help files. There is also
a desktop version of Ephemeris available.

From site
"Read the help file

Download Ephem.exe

To install Ephemeris, first establish a connection between your desktop PC
and your Pocket PC, then run Ephem.exe on your desktop PC and follow the
on-screen instructions.

There is also a desktop version of Ephemeris available. To download it,
please click the link below:

Download ephemeris.zip"

Seems that Ephem.exe (http://home.comcast.net/~jonsachs/Ephem.exe) is the
Pocket PC version and epheris.zip
(http://home.comcast.net/~jonsachs/ephemeris.zip)
the PC version???

I'll download it and see if it runs under Wine.

Gordon
