The monitor will go to sleep for no reason and I cannot get it to come
back up. The power light stays green and you cannot turn the monitor
off. If I catch it going down and wiggle the mouse vigorously sometimes
it will come back up. I have shut off hibernate etc, even tried it on
our second computer. The only way to get the display back up is to turn
unplug the monitors power and then plug it back in. There doesn't seem
to be any pattern.
Any ideas?

I have a large Envision EN99110 19 incher and I checked it's setup
scheme. Mine has no screen blanking funtion natively, therefore it
relys on Windows. Some screens have this mode built in, it's worth a
look.

I would check your setup screens on your monitors, it sounds like they
have automatic screen blankers and they're turning on.

If not, I can't imagine why it would work, not work, then work again.
It really sounds like Windows or the video sub-system more then
anything else, but you say you've tried it on another machine and it
does the same thing.

If that's true, and there is no setting to change; time to call
Envision. My monitor is almost two years old and I've never had any
trouble with it.

It really sounds like a Windows problem. Two computers not
withstanding. Something just doesn't sound right.

I have a notebook that will not come back in Hibernate. You can
finally get it, but it's easier just to shut it down and reboot it.
Perhaps this has something to do with it, even though you say you
have it off. Check again.

I would appreciate either a reply to this message, or an email when
you do find out the trouble. I have an obvious interest. Thanks

Best of Luck

same thing

My boss has the same monitor and is having the same issue, tried on different machines while shut down so I do not think it is a Windows issue, more of a hardware issue....
