I am getting an error when I type IPconfig at the command prompt on a
windows2000 server box, I have check the variable path it's is pointing to
the systems32 folder but still get the error "is not recognized as an
internal or external command"

any thoughts?

Thanks.

And your next step would be...?

cd to the system32 folder and try the command again. If it works check the
spelling in the Path. If it doesn't do a dir of ipconfig.exe as I would
suspect it has been deleted. You can expand the file from the i386 folder to
replace it or just copy from another server.

Thanks Joshua,

the command works fine in the system32 directory, I have check the spelling
and I even reset the path it did not work.
This happens with any commands (edit, ipconfig, nslookup ...) I'm not sure
what the cause is.
