Mario

there is some method to scan an entire network, regardless of the subnet
mask?

for example in a network that is configured at this:
192.168.100.x
255.255.255.0

can i find a method of scanning ip's and ports in other subnets like
192.168.110.x
255.255.255.0

perhaps modyfing dinamycalli my subnet settings?...

thanks for the answers

You would have to change the subnet to 255.255.0.0 for all devices to
be scanned. Or birdge the two networks.

It depends onwhat you mean by scan. You can use something like LanGuard
LanNetScan to scan anything with an IP address as long as you have a route
to it. It will identify NetBIOS ports open. If you mean layer-2 stuff,
you'll have to be on the same wire, but not necessarily the same subnet.
