I am setting up an Enterprise Root CA in a Windows 2000 Active Directory
(Native Mode). However, I have DNS on a Unix box, not on the Windows Domain
Controllers. I have had little problems with this configuration in our
environment, but want to know how a Certificate Authority is going to like
this. Anone have experience with this setup? Anyone at MS able to verify
this will work?

As long as your DNS server supports SRV records, then DNS is DNS. If
your DCs are working, you CA will as well.

you should be just fine. as long as the clients and server can resolve
systems responsible for the crl and up the tree... albeit, I have marginal
pki experience <g>
