Greetings one and all.
Problem - Enterprise 2007 loaded onto XP machine. Date format when loaded
dd/mm/yyyy (Australian style) then about month or so ago format automatically
changed to mmddyyyy (American style) I have tried most things suggested
here with changing the date system wide but access refuses to allow me to
change the databases to the required format. Help please . Thanks Peter

Suggestions:

1. Open the Windows control panel.
Go to Regional Settings.
Click the Customize button.
Set the date the way you want for your country.

2. Open Access.
Open your table in design view.
Select the Date/Time field.
Remove anything from the Format property of the field (lower pane of table
design.)

3. Open the problem form.
Select the text box for the date.
Remove anything from the Format property of the text box (lower pane of
table design.)

4. Open the Access options (Office Button | Access Options in A2007, or
Tools | Options in earlier versions.)
Uncheck the boxes for 'Use 4-digit year.'

5. Understand the difference between entering a date in the interface (a
datasheet, form, or query design, and entering a date in SQL or VBA (SQL
View of query, VBA code, or a filter or criteria string.) More info on this:

OK tried that with minmal success. Is it posible to remove only Access
Enterprise and revert to an older Access 2003 for instance.

Peter

You can go to Add/Remove programs in the Windows Control Panel, run the
Office 2007 install, and choose to remove just the Access 2007 part.

I'm not convinced that's necessary though. I'm using Access 2007 in a d/m/y
country, and the dates work fine.
