Some of my records have the same value for a field from
one record to the next but not always... so "default
value" isn't the answer. Years ago & in a different data
base one of the function keys worked as a repeat key that
operated so as to copy the previous records data into the
current records field for any field I chose. The closest
I've gotten to this ability in MS2002 is the CTRL+' but
this only works in a 'table' format & not when in any of
the forms. Is there any easy way of doing this?

Without a definition of "previous" record, it'll be hard to write any type
of keyboard shortcut. Remember, in ACCESS, the only order that records have
is the order that you impose via a query.

The Ctrl + ' is the common way of copying the value from the "cell" (field)
above.

If you want to copy the "previous" record's value, though, why won't the
default value being reset after you enter each record's value work for you?
It is essentially doing the same as the Ctrl + ' option. Can you provide
more details?
