I am converting from Sidekick 99 to Outlook 2002. I've entered about 1/4 of
my names, addresses, etc. But when I click on address book only those
addresses wtih email are displayed. What happened to the other 30 or so
addresses that I entered that have no email just addresses and phone
numbers?

Thanks.

The purpose of the Outlook Address Book is to provide you a list of
electronic addresses.

So Outlook cannot be used as a traditional address book with street
addresses/phone numbers, etc?

A "traditional" address book in email software offers only electronic
addresses to which you might need to send electronic messages.
The Contacts Folder has all of your other Contact information and can be
accessed from Word for inserting mailing addresses into letters and other
paper documents.

I see. "Address Book" is simply email. "Contacts" would take the place of a
traditional address book (ie, names, street addresses, phone numbers, notes,
etc)?
Thanks

Exactly. But if you invoke the address book in Word (which of course is not
simply an email application), you will have access to all of your Outlook.
Contacts.
