Hi, When I install a new client with RIS-installation I
need to enter the ProductID at the first start up, is it
away to do this automatic? ripep.sif?
It is a WinXP install.

/Martin

Hi!

Add to the file RISTNDRD.SIF
(..\RemoteInstall\Setup\..\Images\..\i386\templates) to
section
[UserData]
ProductID = "XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX"

Deploy.chm and ref.chm from deploy.cab on your XP CD will
make you day ;)

Cheers

Hi Martin!

Please repost complete path to your "plain" windows image
that do not include ristnrd.sif file if it is different
from what I erlier posted as an example. I can't
understand how it possible that the file is missing....

From the ref.chm file under unattend.txt (winnt.sif) you
find all the sections and options you can use in your sif
file. ie you can under [Components] exclude games, MSN
Explorer etc and remove visible points to Outlook if it's
not your companys primary email reader.
I think it's worth reading those help files :)

Cheers

Hi Martin!

B2B = Back to basics;
You did install your RIS service using a Volume Lisence XP
CD? Single Lisence and OEM lisense are not usable here!

Here is an example of a sif file. Compare to your own or
copy/paste sections of this to a new sif file on your RIS
server. Change ProductID, path, names etc.

Cheers
