enter string that start with a "="

Does anyone know how to enter a string that starts with an equal sign. I
want to use a function that gets created from a number of strings but I can't
insert this string into a cell. It creates a runtime 1004 error.

Format the cell as Text first, or type an apostrophe (single quote) before
the equal sign. The apostrophe will not be considered part of the text.

Check your other thread--it's not a problem with the equal sign, it's a problem
with your formula.
 
I am tryin to input a function. these start with =. If I put an ' before it
it does not work as a function. If I input the function as string in vba it
will have a runtime error 1004.
