Enter Parameter Value

I use pop up forms with a combo box and a single command button utilising a macro to choose information from a list and then display a larger form that contains all the information referenced in the combo box

The problem I am having is that despite all my syntax being correct I am still asked, via an access pop-up box, to Enter the Parameter value

I use several of these pop-up boxes to work with my data and some work and some don't. I know the syntax works as the database runs perfectly well under Win2K. I am trying to run the same database in WinXP, I have already set the programme compatability wizard to emulate Win2K

Any ideas or am I missing something blatantly obvious

I'm not familiar with Access XP, but I have been vexed by
those dialog boxes. I have a few thoughts based on my
discoveries. If you are using the value on the pop up
form as your criteria for a field, I expect it will be
something like [Forms]![frmPopUpForm]![cboSelect] rather
than the field name itself. If the field name is part of
sorting and grouping, or if it is part of a concatenated
text box or something like that, you could get that
parameter prompt. You probably know that, since it worked
in Access 2000, but this is what occurred to me based on
my own experience.
