Enter Parameter Value - Error (in Report)

I designed a report similar to a spreadsheet in
appearance. There is a simple query that generates a total
for a month. When I use the report to fetch the value
(total, no calculations), I get "enter parameter vale".

I have used the expression build to get to the correct
query and the syntax is okay. I have also rebuilt text box
to eliminate corruption as a cause.

Any ideas?

Matt,
1) The "enter parameter value" what?
It will ask for a specific field's value.
Check your spelling and spacing.
[Enter StartDate] is not the same as [Enter Start Date].

2) Do you have anything in the Report's Sorting and Grouping dialog
box that is no longer used in the report? It may be asking for that
value.

3) How do you 'use the report to fetch the value'.?
If neither of the first two suggestions help, post the code.
