I was typing on a slide in PP and all of a sudden my enter key (both on
number pad and keyboard) quit working. They now don't work in any program.

First things first, ibelieve.

Check for a simple hardware failure.
Have you tried unplugging and re-plugging in the keyboard (sometimes the
plugs work themselves loose).
Do you have another keyboard you can plug in and try on your system?
(Sometimes they just wear out)

Chances are that these will fix the problem. If it does not, than please
post back and we'll take it a couple of steps further.

In addition to Bill's suggestion, I'd quit Windows, turn off the computer, get
a cuppajava, power up the computer, drink java while Windows boots, try it
again.

enter key as well as other letters not working i tried rebooting but nothing
is working help

Does this happen in other applications, or only in PPT?

Does it happen with other presentations, or only the one specific
presentation?

Do you have another computer handy you could plug your keyboard into and see
if the problem recurs? If so, it's a problem with your keyboard.
