Enter Key Bring up Shutdown Msg

My daughter has a computer problem I've never seen
before. No matter what program she's in, even the
desktop, if she presses the enter key, the dialog box pops
up asking if she wants to end the program. She has
Windows XP Home. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried comparing Windows files for what they should be?
Start---run---type in SFC /SCANNOW. note space after SFC. If using Windows
98 it is SFC.EXE
